The College Democrats of High Point University particpated in HPU Colleges Against Cancer's Relay for Life event. In addition to fundraising as a team, HPU College Democrats hosted the 'Dunk a Democrat' dunk tank to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Members of the High Point Unviersity College Democrats attended the 2017 College Democrats of North Carolina Convention. At the convention, the College Democrats of North Carolina would elect members from HPU to its executive board, which would become the first HPU representatives at the state level.

High Point University College Democrats organized a townhall for North Carolina Senators Thom Tillis and Richard Burr during their Senate Recess. Following the rejection of our invitation, the story received significant attention from local media outlets.

The High Point University College Democrats formed a team to compete in the HPU Colleges Against Cancer Dodgeball Tournament. Proceeds of the tournament went towards the American Cancer Society.
